No Porto dos anos 50 do século XX, Beatriz "Bia" Veloso era a "maria-rapaz" mais audaz da Ribeira. Ignorando convenções, conduzia a sua motorizada pelas descidas íngremes. Era a enfrentar o vento frio do Douro que ela encontrava a liberdade que os salões lhe negavam. Para a Bia, o horizonte era o único limite.

In the Porto of the 1950's, Beatriz "Bia" Veloso was the most daring tomboy of the Ribeira district. Defying conventions, she rode her motorbike down the city's steep hills. It was in facing the cold Douro wind that she found the freedom the ballrooms denied her. For Bia, the horizon was the only limit.
