Sir Baltazar Greenwind (Galgo/Greyhound)

Óleo sobre tela / Oil on canvas

30 x 30 cm.

Sir Baltazar Greenwind was his name. A greyhound of elegant silhouette, he played golf in St Andrews in the 1920s, moving naturally among the dunes of the Old Course. He wore a tweed cap and maintained a restrained, almost ceremonial posture. He never hurried: each stroke was considered a gesture of style. Between the salty wind and the clipped grass, Baltazar played less to win than to honour the game.
