In London, during the summer of 1967, Penelope was the muse of King's Road and a legendary figure in the backstage of rock. As a roadie for various psychedelic bands, she balanced the hard work of touring with a rebellious elegance beneath her wide-brimmed hat. A peace activist, Penelope united the spirit of the road with aristocratic sophistication.
